IDEA Network Members Design Future Cooperations in Zagreb

Members of the IDEA network gathered in Zagreb for "CollabLab," a three-day intensive focused on elevating the quality of our international work. Moving beyond traditional networking, this lab served as a strategic incubator for members to align their organizational missions and design high-impact initiatives

In a significant step toward enhanced European collaboration, IDEA network members gathered in Croatia this January to transition from institutional networking to concrete operational innovation. The activity demonstrated that the network’s collective efficacy is significantly amplified through structured, face-to-face strategic planning.

Establishing the Foundations of Cooperation

The proceedings in Zagreb prioritized the establishment of professional trust and organizational transparency. Participants moved beyond introductory exchanges to focus on the fundamental principles of high-level partnership. Through collaborative orientation exercises and structured dialogue, the group developed the necessary rapport required for the complex, long-term initiatives that define the network’s strategic output.

A core component of the activity involved an analysis of the current professional landscape. Members engaged in a systematic "Needs Mapping" process, pooling diverse expertise in areas such as digital pedagogy and social inclusion. This allowed the network to identify systemic challenges across different regions, ensuring that subsequent strategies are evidence-based and professionally relevant.

Outputs

The final phase of the activity focused on the technical development of cooperation models. Members organized into thematic clusters to produce the following results:

  • Organizational Synergies: Aligning specific institutional strengths with lead roles in future implementation phases.

  • Quality Standardization: Establishing new benchmarks for project methodology to ensure consistent benefits for target groups.

  • Logic and Impact Assessment: Conducting feasibility reviews to ensure that joint initiatives yield sustainable, long-term results rather than localized solutions.
