IDEA has submitted formal recommendations to the Council of Europe, calling for debate to be integrated into the continent’s civic infrastructure to protect against democratic backsliding.

On March 20 and 21, we attended the NEXT.GEN.FORUM which took place in Dresden. This event brought young people, civic initiatives and political stakeholders together to discuss democracy, civic participation and social change.

IDEA is starting work on its strategic plan for 2027 to 2032, and we want the people who make up our community to shape it from the beginning.

Last week in Brussels, IDEA joined more than 30 international youth organizations for the EYF Learning and Networking Days, co-organised by the Council of Europe’s European Youth Foundation and the European Youth Forum.
