Start of the Speak Together Project

Start of the Speak Together Project

Representatives of IDEA, New Vision, Polish Debate Foundation, Lithuaninan Debate Society and Croatian Debate Society met in Utrecht to officialy kick off our Speak Together project.

Partner organisations of the Speak Together: Building the Bridges of Understanding project met for the first time in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The kickoff meeting brought together representatives from across Europe to begin planning what will become a network of inclusive youth debate clubs in their countries.

The meeting was a chance to get to know each other, share experiences, and agree on the first steps of the work ahead. Partners discussed how the project will support young people with fewer opportunities, including Ukrainian refugees, to join debate clubs, develop civic skills, and feel more connected to their local communities.

There is a lot of work to do. Over the coming months, partners will begin developing activity plans, identifying educators and club leaders, and making first connections with youth in their regions. The project runs until November 2025.
