KVAK Webinar: Exploring Quality Feedback in Youth Work
On 1 July 2026, more than 45 youth workers, teachers, debate trainers and students joined our online webinar Quality Feedback in Youth Work. The webinar focused on introducing the KVAK platform. During the 90 minutes, our participants explored how to work with the new KVAK platform and how to implement it in youth work.
The webinar began with a short overview of the KVAK project and what it aims to achieve. Project partners then showed participants what the platform offers, explained how the open badge system works and introduced how to implement it in their youth work.
After the introduction, we split into four breakout rooms, each focused on one of the courses:
- Youth Work in Action: Making Decisions That Matter
- Feedback That Makes a Difference
- Gamification in Education
- Seeing the Invisible: Power, Privilege and Everyday Realities
In the rooms, participants first discussed their own work and the challenges they face when working with young people. They then worked through the course, tried out some of the exercises, and discussed their first impressions and how the platform can be useful in their work.
Finally, we all came back together to share our thoughts. Participants asked a lot of questions and the feedback was very positive. One of them described the platform as "a game inside another game" that encourages young people to reflect. Many said they would like to explore the courses in more depth, and some suggested short follow-up sessions to try the platform together and exchange experience with other educators.
We recorded many new sign-ups to the platform in the days following the webinar.
The KVAK platform is free and open to everyone. You can try it out at kvak.idebate.net.
