European Schools Debating Championship 2024

Dear debate community,

The European debating community has frequently discussed the need for a continental debate tournament for national teams. In the past year, member organizations of the International Debate Education Association endeavored to establish such a tournament. This culminated in the creation of EuroSDC and its Charter during IDEA’s general assembly in August 2023.

The tournament's first edition will be hosted by the Czech Debate Association and supported by the IDEA. Thanks to the funding from the European Union, EU and IDEA member nations can participate at a subsidized registration fee.

Pre-registration is now under way – please use this form to indicate your interest in registering team(s) for the tournament.  Official registration will open at the beginning of December and last until January 7, 2024. In the meantime, please find more information about the tournament in this invitation letter, and make sure you follow the tournament's Facebook and Instagram pages.
