GEASA Mobility Event in Rimini, Italy
Teachers and staff from Slovenia, Czechia, Italy, and The Netherlands come together to learn, explore, and give feedback on the project materials that want to update Global Education Across Subject Areas
Each partner in the consortium brings with them 4 teachers, who are on the frontlines of education every day, and will give invaluable insights in how to prepare students best to enter the complex world we live in today.
When it comes to teaching and learning about present-day global issues, school curricula can be limiting. Due to the glacial pace at which changes to school curricula tend to be introduced, the politicization of school curricula in some countries labeling some topics as controversial and disencouraging critical discussion, or a lack of training opportunities for teachers, many young people don’t have the opportunity to explore the greatest challenges we are facing as global citizens.
Through GEASA, we are aiming to support teachers and other educators in tackling difficult contemporary questions - something that’s on schedule at every debate club meeting, but often lacking in classrooms.
The project is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.
