During IDEA's annual networking event for organisation staff and volunteers, member representatives expressed interest in introducing European Schools Debating Championships.
Target participants: administrative or executive staff, debate coaches; up to 2 per organisation
This meeting follows a lively workshop held at the 2022 IDEA Youth Forum, where member representatives expressed interest in setting up an accessible yearly international competition for high school students - tentatively, European Schools Debating Championships. The two-day work meeting, with additional arrival and departure days, will take place in Zagreb, Croatia this April with the expected outcome of settling on the format, potential dates, hosting procedures and rules for the tournament.
The meeting dates are tentative. At the moment, IDEA is in the process of collecting expressions of interest in participation through member organisations' contact persons. More information will be published as soon as available.
