Call for Papers: New Special Issue on Debating and Education in Formazione e insegnamento

We are pleased to announce a special issue of Formazione e insegnamento, the European Journal of Research on Education and Teaching, dedicated to debate as a pedagogical practice and research field.

Debate, whether competitive, structured, or classroom-based, serves as a powerful methodology for developing critical thinking, communication skills, and democratic citizenship. This special issue seeks to deepen our understanding of debate education across multiple dimensions and contexts. Guest Editors Manuele De Conti and Matteo Giangrande invite scholars, educators, and practitioners worldwide to contribute their research and insights on the epistemologies, methods, and ethical-educational implications of debate in learning.

Articles will be published in Formazione e insegnamento (ISSN 2279-7505), a peer-reviewed Diamond Open Access journal published by Pensa MultiMedia and affiliated with SIREF (Società Italiana per la Ricerca Educativa e Formativa). All articles are freely accessible worldwide under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license, with no publication fees.
