Quality, Inclusive, Engaged, and Constructive Feedback in Youth Work (KVAK)
The "KVAK" project targets to improve the quality of work with youth by focusing on safe and effective feedback, care for vulnerable groups and the development of an appropiate attitude towards participants. Implementation and testing will take place at 3 international and at least 30 local events in Slovenia.
The main element of the KVAK project is to create standardise practised practices of youth work and methodologies to support youth workers in key areas such as providing constructive feedback and facilitate the education of youth workers. Achieving both will help to increase the delivery of safe and effective feedback, support for vulnerable groups, and foster an appropriate attitude toward participants, which are currently neglected.
Part of the project is to organise 3 international events for a minimum of 79 participants and at least 20 national events with a total of 600 participants. Each of these events of these events will be used to work with the participants to develop and test materials and gather feedback to improve outcomes. Mass distribution, evaluation, and feedback collection are key benefits of this project, increasing its potential for positive impact. Another important component of the project involves online resources. The output is to write a manual, obtain 3 tests, design 5 text exercises and produce 30 videos with exercises. All of these will be accessible on a web platform integrated to the existing tool database. The competency recognition system is integral to the project, as it supports individuals and organizations at multiple levels.
The project is conducted in cooperation with Società Nazionale Debate Italia; Danes je nov dan, Inštitut za druga vprašanja; INTERNATIONAL DEBATE EDUCATION ASSOCIATION and NEXES INTERCULTURALS SCCL with ZA IN PROTI zavod za kulturo dialoga as the leading organization.
Project results:
a) Creating a manual with ethics guide;
b) online interactive exercises for self-learning;
c) digital badges for progress tracking and recognition;
d) web platform that will centralise content;
e) translations of selected content (manual, code, exercises).
Through these efforts, the project aims to increase quality of education and work with youth, enhance and digitalize work with young people, facilitate the education of mentors, and create a more inclusive environment. This stands as a vital part of the taking the next generations to a new level and improving the democratic environment in the European society.
The KVAK project is funded through the Erasmus+ grant by the European union.
