KVAK in Barcelona: raising the quality and safety of debate feedback

We have attended a project meeting in Barcelona as a part of the KVAK project, which is developing tools to better train youth workers and educators to provide feedback and conduct activities in a safe way.
IDEA staff have attended a week long meeting event in Barcelona to conduct work on KVAK. At this stage of the project, we are drafting texts to be used by youth workers and educators for independent learning, as well as designing the interactive exercises which shall serve to enable practice of crucial pedagogical aspects of debate-based youth work and learning. We were joined by young debaters who participated in activities and focus groups, thus helping us determine the precise needs of our target group.
We wish to thank Nexes, our project partner from Barcelona, for organising this exchange - we had a very pleasant week learning and exchanging experiences.
